Sullivan Fire and Rescue Hosts Boy Scout Pack 3459

    On March 16, 2010, our own Sullivan Fire and Rescue department hosted a field trip for the Homerville Boy Scout Tiger Cub pack # 3459.   With 15 cubs, siblings and parents attending, Fire Lt. Steve Shinsky, EMS Capt. Keith Rowe, along with Firefighter Emily Stewart and EMT Evan Thomas, the entire group was given a very extensive "Hands On" experience with our equipment and emergency vehicles complete with turn out gear.   Our four members were able to instruct at an age appropriate level, yet emphasizing the seriousness and the possible dangers that would require the department services.   It was an experience this group will not forget.  
    Parents and pack leaders praised our members efforts and hope to return with the next pack of Cubs.  We are proud to have department members who give of their own time not only to protect our community, but to provide safety instruction in the hopes to prevent the need for their services.   The pictures below, with those smiling faces tell the story.   Steve, Keith, Emily and Evan, Thank you
