Campbell announced Jenkins would not be in Attendance because he is out of Town The Meeting is being taped for the benefit of the Township. Public Concerns Carol Stasick from the Zoning Board of Appeals announced the Public Hearing will be held January 23, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. on the Property located at 605 St. Rt. 224. Richard Johnson commended the Road Crew for the excellent job they did on the Roads during the snow storm and our Roads were in better shape than other Townships. Peggy Skinner had a discussion with the Trustees about Ko No Co parking lot she felt since the Township owns the property it should be plowed and the snow was piled up and at the end of the driveway that obstructed the view coming out of driveway. Campbell stated the Township only plows the driveway according to the contract. Roy Phillips asked the Trustees about the new Map and had concerns about the Industrial and Commercial properties in the Township. Trustees advised him to attend a Zoning Board Meeting. Fiscal Officer Report Fiscal Officer asked the Trustees to go into Executive Session for EMS reviews. Hickey moved to enter into Executive Session at 7:40 P.M. Fiscal Officer turned in three letters that was addressed to Mark Hickey and Mark Schwab. And letter for Les Hanley from American Red Cross. Fiscal Officer gave the Trustees the Monthly Reports and the Bank Reconciliation to review and they signed that they had received them. Fiscal Officer informed all Departments when they purchase anything for all township vehicles make sure they mark the receipt to show which vehicles the purchase was made for. In the Appropriations the vehicles are listed to track the cost of maintenance. Fiscal Officer needed a Resolution for the Temporary Appropriations Campbell moved by Resolution to accept the Appropriations Hickey second Roll call Hickey yes Campbell yes. Informed the Trustees there was one resume for the position as alternate. The resume is from Janice Steele. Hickey moved to appoint Janice Steele as the Alternate on the Zoning Board of Commission Campbell second Roll call all yes. Fire Report Chief Shelton had a letter from the Ashland County Fire Association about an Ice Rescue Class he needs 6-10 volunteers the cost $25.00 to be certified. Hickey moved to approve the Class Campbell second Roll call all yes. Chief Shelton stated he had two Ice Rescue Suits donated from Northridge Ville Fire Department that are worth $2000.00 and they will have them soon. Chief Shelton announced the new Radios will be in January 21, 2009. EMS Report Chief Benner turned in some invoices to be paid. Chief Benner announced John Kenny and Karen Borges passed their EMT class they are just waiting for their cards. She also turned in mileage reimbursement for John Kenny’s EMT classes. Chief Benner informed the Trustees that a CPR class was done by Ashland Fire Department. A check needs be made out for $20.00 to be sent to American Heart and they will receive their CPR cards. Hickey moved to pay the fee Campbell second Roll call all yes. Chief Benner announced she has three people and would like to have more volunteers to be certificated as CPR Instructors. The cost for the class is $78.45. Campbell moved to approve the $78.45 Hickey second Roll call all yes. Road Report Gary asked the Trustees about purchasing a Block Heater for the Grader from Superior Diesel cost $64.00. Campbell moved to purchase the Block Heater Hickey second Roll call all yes. Hickey asked Gary if he got the back up alarm on the Grader repaired, he stated he did. Hickey asked Gary about the Hour Meter on the Tanks. Gary stated no Hickey suggested Zoning Report Trustees Report Hickey spoke with Bob Kerr from Soil and Water about the project on Twp. Rd. 150. He wanted to know when the project would begin. Bob Kerr stated a letter needs to be drafted and sent to the Supervisors at the Soil and Water District and they will present it to the Board at the meeting on February 10, 2009. Hickey stated he will be attended the Meeting. Hickey read a letter addressed to Soil and Water about the problem on Twp. Rd. 150. Campbell moved to send the letter Hickey second Roll call all yes. Hickey stated he will take care of the pond issue. Campbell asked Hickey to contact the Road Crew if there is a problem by phone because when you send a fax to the Fiscal Officer she has to contact me then I have to contact Gary and as a Trustee you should be able to contact the Road Crew. Hickey asked Gary for his cell number it was given to him. Campbell moved to adjourn at 8:15 P.M.
