Sullivan Township Trustee Attendance Duane Jenkins Chairman Jenkins called the Meeting to order at 6:30 P.M. Followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Jenkins announced the Meeting is being taped for the benefit of the Township. Jenkins announced this is a Special Meeting to address two issues. 1- The Newsletter explaining the General Levy Jenkins read the Newsletter. Hickey stated he has never seen the paperwork about the Insurance Companies and the additional charge for Fire Service. Campbell moved to mail the newsletter Jenkins second Roll call Campbell yes Jenkins yes Hickey no. Hickey stated he wanted it noted in the minutes he opposes the views in the letter and has never seen the paperwork. Campbell stated they had talked about the Insurance Companies policies for Fire Service in a previous meeting. Jenkins stated there was a Resolution on the table that Hickey had abstained from and it was a Request for a Legal Opinion. Jenkins stated to send the Resolution to the Prosecutors Office for a legal opinion. Campbell second Roll call Campbell yes Jenkins yes Hickey abstained. Hickey wanted it noted in the Minutes that the meeting that was posted in the paper was to discuss a Legal Opinion not a Request for a Legal Opinion and the meeting was improperly advertised. Jenkins stated it was not improperly advertised. Public Concerns Schwab stated the newsletter is illegal because the Trustees can not indorse the Levy and pay for it with Taxpayers dollars. Steele stated that the Insurance Companies do provide coverage for Fire Service. Campbell stated he had looked into the issue of coverage and did speak with different five Insurance Companies. He stated the coverage it is not included in the Polices. It would have to be a rider policy. Jenkins also stated he had looked into the coverage and they told him it would have to be a rider policy that can be purchased but it is not included in the Polices. Riley and Hickey’s Discussion was struck from the minutes because Hickey stated that the meeting was to discuss certain issues, Jenkins stated it was Julie Cordey. Hickey asked if she was the one that told him there was a Disciplinary Hearing in November. Jenkins stated yes she did, she is one of the attorneys. Campbell moved to adjourn at 6:45p.m. Jenkins second Roll call all yes.
