Sullivan Township Trustee
Regular Business Meeting
April 13, 2010

Attendance:  Mark Hickey Chairman

Hickey called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m. Followed by the Pledge of Allegiance

Hickey announced the meeting is being taped for the benefit of the Township.

Steele moved to pay the bills for the printing and mailing for Cleanup Day Hickey second Roll call all yes. Trustees signed checks #20622 thru #20625 and signed purchase orders #44 & 45

Public Concerns

Mr. Matis and Mr. Meyers from was concern about the culverts on Twp. Rd. 150 that was removed when the Road Crew was ditching. Hickey stated no one from the Road Department was present to ask them any questions he stated it will need to be addressed at the next meeting.

Ermal asked what size of pipe he would need for the ditch in front of his house and asked about getting dirt to fill it in. Hickey told him he will take a look at the ditch.

James Wolfe turned in an invoice for mileage for Paramedic Class cost $4045.46. Hickey asked Wolfe if he would take payments he stated yes. Trustees asked Wolfe to bring a payment plan to the next meeting.
The invoice was tabled until the next meeting.

Hickey moved to reimburse Wolfe for his Paramedic National Registry Test Steele second Roll call all yes.

Wolfe asked about putting a drain pipe from his property to the ditch the Trustees had no problem with this.

Trustees signed the Zoning Inspectors Job Description that was adopted on April 5, 2010.

Trustees signed the letter to L.M.R.E. for a proposed street light on Co. Rd. 681 and US Hwy. 224

Fiscal Officer Report

Fiscal Officer informed the Trustees the first half taxes on Real Estate came in for $79,092.67 and explained the break down General received $29,835.11 and Road and Bridge received $49,257.56 and there was no taxes received for Fire and EMS because of no Levy.

Fiscal Officer informed the Trustees the first half taxes on Mobile Homes came in for $604.88 and explained the break down General Fund received $256.24 and Road and Bridge received $366.13 and there was no taxed received for Fire and EMS because of no Levy.

Resolutions Forms adopted as follows:

  • Hickey moved by Resolution #041310-01 to adopt the Culvert Repair or Replacement Form with the change of not less than 30 feet instead of 40 feet. Steele second Roll call Steele yes Hickey yes
  • Hickey moved by Resolution #041310-02 to adopt the Sullivan Township Board of Trustees Driver Responsibility Acknowledgement Form Steele second Roll call Steele yes Hickey yes
  • Steele moved by Resolution #041310-03 to adopt the Sullivan Township Travel Expense Reimbursement Policy Hickey second Roll call Steele yes Hickey yes
  • Hickey moved by Resolution #041310-04 to adopt the Mileage Reimbursement Form Steele second Roll call Steele yes Hickey yes
  • Steele moved by Resolution #041310-05 to adopt the Sullivan Township Community Room Agreement Hickey second Roll call Steele yes Hickey yes.
  • Hickey moved by Resolution #041310-06 to adopt the Sullivan Township Volunteer Agreement Steele second Roll call Steele yes Hickey yes
  • Steele moved by Resolution #041310-07 to adopt the Sullivan Township Application for Employment with Drivers License number to be inserted on page 2 Hickey second Roll call Steele yes Hickey yes.

Forms Tabled as Follows:

  • Sullivan Township Board of Trustees Hold Harmless Release of Liability needs more work to be done on it to be adopted at a later date
  • Sullivan Township Board of Trustees Drug & Alcohol Policy to be looked over to be adopted at a later date.

Hickey turned in the Annual Report from the Health Department for public record. Fiscal Officer will make copies for the Trustees.
