Minutes from the July 23, 2007 Special Meeting with the Sullivan Township Trustees.
Trustee Mark Schwab opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance at 7:08 and then turned the meeting over to Bud Jantz chairman of the Zoning Board of Commission on July 23, 2007 at 7:10 pm.
Peg Skinner read the minutes of the July 9, 2007 meeting, Jean Reams made a motion to accept the minutes as read with a second from Rich Johnson. All in favor.
Went into Workshop on New Resolution Book.
Article # 101) Bud Jantz read the opinion from Regional Planning / The Board has agreed to keep article 1 the same with one minor correction, add to the article ( Zoning Resolution are hereby created and established and shall thereafter apply to the O.R.C 519.02).( All in favor) Jean Reams-yes, Rich Johnson-yes, Peg Skinner-yes and Bud Jantz-yes

The Board has gone over all the corrections to the Book and only one mistake was found and needs to be corrected to Wood Processing. The Board has opened to the floor to the Trustees; Trustee Mark Schwab has made the statement that the original map is still missing, We the Board told Trustee Mark Schwab that we have found what we believe to be the original Zoning map of Sullivan Township, which was presented at a Public Hearing dated Aug 26, 2002, during our winter cleanup of the files in the Sullivan Township Community room. Bud Jantz and Peg Skinner found what they believe to be the original Zoning Map under the file cabinet in the community room where our records are kept. Trustee Mark Schwab has also stated that we need to turn the map over to them so it can be placed in the records room, We the Board members have agreed to do so only if they would sign a release form from the Sullivan Township Zoning Board of Commission that they have received what we believe to be the original map of Sullivan Township, they have agreed to do so at their next meeting on Aug 6, 2007. Bud Jantz also made the statement that he feels that some copy’s need to be made of this map, Trustee Mark Schwab stated that there are so many copies of maps floating around, Jean Reams explained that the copy’s were made when everyone would request one. Took a Break at 7:52 pm and Back in session at8:05 pm Trustee Mark Schwab made a motion to let Peggy Skinner take the map and have 10 copies done of what we believe to be the original map at Grindle & Bender in downtown Ashland. Duane Jenkins second (All in favor) Trustee Mark Schwab-yes, Trustee Duane Jenkins-yes and Trustee Mark Hickey-yes Trustee Duane Jenkins was asked how soon he would be making the calls to the Past Trustees James Riley, Richard Farkas, Sid Penn and clerk Roberta Penn; he would do this one day this week Also to see if the past Trustees and Clerk would be willing to make a statement that these are true documents as far as the map goes and to state that the map has been approved and adopted by them in the year of Aug 26, 2002 at a Public Hearing. The Trustees were asked about the Adult Ent. & Cabaret they would hold off and amend it to the book at a later time. Zoning Board of Commission next agenda would be on Planned Unit Development. Trustees have asked the Zoning Board of Commission to hold off on their Public Hearing until we hear from them regarding the map. Trustee Duane Jenkins is to call all past Trustees and Clerk to see if they would make a deposition and come up with a date and time. Also needs to call the court stenographer to record these depositions regarding the map. The Zoning Board of Commission has till Aug 6, 2007 to turn over the map to the Trustees in their regular meeting.

Beverly Bolen was present to ask about the Alternate position on the Zoning Board of Commission the question was answered by the Board of Trustees; she is interested because the Zoning Board of Appeals is boaring. Please be advised that Motion to adopt the new Resolution Book of 2007 has not taken place as of July 23, 2007.
