Minutes from our Dec.10, 2007 meeting.
Bud Jantz called our meeting to order at 7:04 pm. With the Pledge of Allegiance.
Peg Skinner read the minutes from our Nov. 26, 2007 meeting, Jean Reams made a motion to accept the minutes as read with a second from Sharon Patterson. (All in favor).
Bud Jantz-yes, Rich Johnson- Yes, Jean Reams-yes, Sharon Patterson-yes and Peg Skinner-yes.
Our new alternate John Storch was present for the meeting.
Janice Steele was present with no zoning reports tonight. Janice also explained about the John Miller home and said that she spoke to Mark Hickey regarding this problem and Mark Hickey stated that he would go out there and find out what is going on.
Bud Jantz opened the meeting to the floor.
Also present was Aaron Miller, was present to find out about his permit to run a business from his residents and Janice Steele explained to him he would have to get a variance from the Zoning Board of Appeals she has also showed him from our Resolution Book that he could not run a business from there without a variance. Janice gave Aaron Miller Jerry Sayles name and set up a meeting with her to apply for a variance.
Janice Steele is also going to give John Storch a copy of our 1997 Resolution Book.
We took a break at 7:55 pm and back in session at 8:00 pm.
Doug Campbell was present, We would like everyone to know that he was not present as a Trustee but as a resident, we had some questions for him and we feel he has answered them honestly to the best of his knowledge from when he was a former trustee.
Peg Skinner has given everyone a copy of everything that was in the file at the Recorders Office on Sullivan Township including a copy of the map, which is also signed with Jean Reams signature and the year 2002. I have made the trip to the Recorders Office on Dec 6, 2007. I have also given everyone a copy of the Prosecuting Attorney’s Newsletter from the year of Feb. 2006 thru Nov. 2007
Plus the legal opinion from the year Nov. 2002, including copies of the Sullivan Township Zoning Board of Commission April 1, 2002 minutes regarding the map. And the minutes from the Trustee Meeting dating April 22, 2002. Also including the Regional Planning Minutes and Agenda for the years of 1997 thru 2006. With all these documents we honestly feel we have enough proof that our Township is Legally Zoned.
We have also discussed For Zoning Purpose:
What is a business and how do you classify what is a business and what is a in home occupation. On this note for everyone to think about and we will discuss this at our next meeting.
