March 24, 2008 STZBOC Minutes

Rich Johnson called the meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance at 7:00pm.

Peg Skinner read the minutes from the March 10, 2008, Jean Reams made the motion to accept the minutes as read with the exception of the correction from the Feb 25, 2008 meeting On the roadside stand of changing the square footage “no action was taken.” Sharon Patterson second the motion, (All in favor).
Rich Johnson-yes, John Storch-yes, Peg Skinner-yes, Sharon Patterson-yes and Jean Reams-yes.

Rich Johnson made the motion to accept the motion that Bud Jantz made on the roadside stand to 12 sq.ft. Peg Skinner second the motion (All in favor). John Storch-yes, Jean Reams-yes, Sharon Patterson-yes, Rich Johnson-yes and Peg Skinner-yes.

Peg Skinner had a question for Janice Steele regarding the question that Jerry Sayles had asked regarding the Variance Forms not having the section for the accept or denied, Janice was looking for them and wasn’t able to locate them at this time.

Went into a Work Session!

Residential Enterprise Business forming out of a resident’s home would be allowed to have a 2x2 sign and any business in a Commercial Zone would be allowed a 4x8 sign with the proper permits.

Break at 7:40 pm back in session at7:55 pm.

Jean Reams made a motion that
All Residential Enterprise and Home Occupation shall not exceed a 2x2 sign.
Sharon Patterson second the motion (All in Favor).

Home Occupations are not permitted in Commercial or Industrial (add) Home Occupation to the Commercial and Industrial Zone as permitted uses.

John Storch made a motion to add Home Occupation to Commercial and Industrial Zone under permitted uses Jean Reams second the motion (All in favor) Peg Skinner-yes, Rich Johnson-yes, Sharon Patterson-yes, Jean Reams-yes and John Storch-yes.

Page 30, #502 scratch Residential, Jean Reams made a motion to scratch Residential Rich Johnson second the motion (All in favor). John Storch-yes, Peg Skinner-yes, Jean Reams-yes, Sharon Patterson-yes and Rich Johnson-yes.

Industrial #321 we have nothing in there for the Institutions, John Storch made a motion to add Institution to the Industrial Zone under conditional uses Peg Skinner second the motion (All in favor). Rich Johnson-yes, Jean Reams-yes, Sharon Patterson-yes Peg Skinner-yes and John Storch-yes.

We will work on Local Business at the next meeting.
