Minutes from our July 28th, 2008 meeting Bud Jantz called our meeting to order with the Pledge of Allegiance on July 28th, 2008 at 7:03pm. Chairman Bud Jantz asked everyone to please turn off his or her cell phones or put them on vibrate.
Peg Skinner read the minutes from our July 14th, 2008 meeting, Jean Reams made a motion to accept the minutes as read with a second from Bud Jantz, (All in favor).
Zoning Inspector David Spieker was present with his report and permits.
Chairman Bud Jantz announced that due to the fact that our recorder kept turning off, we would not be recording the meeting.
Question was brought up about the Zoned Township or Community signs!
Jean Reams made a motion to approach the Township Trustee’s regarding these signs, Rich Johnson second the motion, (All in favor).
Zoning Board of Appeals Hearing on Sam Phiper will be Aug.1st, 2008 at 8:00 pm.

Work Session on Districts for the New Book placement: Pg. 28 Agriculture Peg Skinner made a motion to change Agriculture to Agriculture/Residential A-1 in Article IV Bud Jantz second the motion, (All in favor). Jean Ream made a motion to accept the change to Agri/Res A-1 to read as follows: To provide agricultural areas with low-density development without creating any serious health threat. Bud Jantz second the motion, (All in favor).
Peg Skinner made a motion to accept the change to Rural Center to read as To provide for small rural centers or cross-roads communities where limited mixed land uses exist and are not particularly harmful to each other. To provide for areas having convenience goods and services to residents of the surrounding area. Rich Johnson seconds the motion, (All in favor).
Commercial C-1 and Proposed Commercial C-2 Jean Reams made a motion to Commercial C-1 and Proposed Commercial C-2 to read as follows: To provide for the future commercial needs of residents of the area as well as tourists or travelers to the extent of need and appropriateness, Peg Skinner seconds the motion, (All in favor).
Industrial I-1 and Proposed Industrial I-2 Peg Skinner made a motion to Industrial I-1 and Proposed Industrial I-2 to read as follows: To provide for the future agribusiness and desirable Industrial development in appropriate locations. To protect surrounding areas and the Industrial District from environmental nuisances such as smoke, noise, pollution, etc. Rich Johnson seconds the motion, (All in favor).

Mark Schwab was present with a Public request for the Sullivan Township Zoning Commissions Board Minutes dating from Jan. 1st, 2006 thru Dec. 11th, 2006, Mark Schwab stated he needed them for his attorney the next day, He has also stated that he will contact Clerk Donna Riley with the amount of pages he had received. Mark Schwab has also stated that he knows that the Zoned Township signs are in the Township Garage.
Jean Reams made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:03 pm with a second from Bud Jantz.
