MINUTES: MAY 24TH, 2010
Chairman Bud Jantz called the meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Chairman Bud Jantz asked that all cell phones be placed on vibrate or turned off. Chairman Bud Jantz had requested that the clerk Donna Riley read the minutes of our last meeting since Carol Stasick wasn’t present. Jean Reams moved to accept the minutes as read with a second from John Storch (all in favor). Chairman Bud Jantz has advised member Mark Schwab that he was a voting member this evening since the Secretary Carol Stasick was not present.
ZONING INSPECTOR REPORT:
Has issued a permit for an Accessory Bldg.18 x 28 storage building. Peggy Skinner had a question regarding an issue concerning a lot on St. Rt. 58 where someone wants to build a Storage Bldg. with an apartment above or attached to it, this type of bldg. becomes a mixed dwelling which is not permitted in the rural center district, then it was suggested that they just want to build a storage building in the size of 30’ x 150’ the lot is only a 70’ x 333’ therefore the suggested buyer could only build a 30’ x 127’ ft bldg. Present buyer cannot go over the 15% .
Zoning Inspector received a proposed lot split of 1 with 259’ frontage and the other with 200’ frontage, located on US 224, contacted Tim Cooper to advise him that the lot split did not comply with the Township Zoning Resolution of 3 acres and 300’ feet of frontage, hearing is to commence on May 25th, 2010 at 9:00 a.m.
Zoning Inspector received a call from a realtor regarding to parcels located in Sullivan Township consisting of 25 acres, buyer was asking if he would be able to make a grassy runway on these parcels since he was a licensed
Pilot. Advised him it was permitted in the Agri/ Residential #502 permitted uses as a Non- Commercial Recreational Facilities
WORK SESSION:
John Storch: Hand out of the Sullivan Township Zoning Board of Commission Draft Zoning Amendment of 2010: This has been a lengthy discussion and still needs to be tweaked a little bit more. John needs to re-word articles #209 thru 213.
Took a break at 7:54 p.m. back in session at 8:08 p.m.
Sullivan Zoning Board of Commission will go down to 1 meeting a month thru the months of June/July/August need to be placed in the paper. Peg Skinner to draft the article and send to clerk Riley to place in the newspaper.
Chairman Bud Jantz suggested that with no further business to discuss that we adjourn this meeting; Jean Reams made a motion to adjourn this meeting with a second from Rich Johnson meeting adjourned at 8:17 p.m. (all in favor)
