Spring Clean Up Day
The day may have been overcast and a bit cool and windy, but the residents certainly took advantage of the Township Clean Up day. A total of 9 containers were filled to the brim in addition to the steel recycling trailer which was over flowing making a second steel trailer necessary. The paper and plastic recycling trailer was also packed full. For the first time, thanks to Brown's Trash Removal, a compactor truck was made available making the dumpster filling much easier. Paul Lower volunteered his time in operating the backhoe while Mark Schwab, Duane Jenkins and Susan Denbow monitored the flow of traffic and dug in helping the residents in unloading. It was a grueling 10 hour day, but well worth the efforts for the convenience of the residents of Sullivan. Throughout the day the Ladies Auxiliary provided drinks, snacks and a full meal for the volunteers. Many thanks from all of us to those wonderful ladies. Click the smaller images to enlarge them.
